Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers for onboarding, NinjaTrader setup, and first-run support questions.

This page is the quick-reference layer in the sitemap. Anything that grows into sequence or diagnostics belongs in a dedicated guide instead of staying here.

Common Questions

Use the FAQ when the answer is short and operational. Move into the longer guides when the workflow becomes step-by-step or diagnostic.

Where do I activate my license and download indicators?

Use the MarketXero user portal. Create your account with your invite email, save your NinjaTrader ID, activate each indicator, then download the current .zip package from the portal.

Do MarketXero indicators use machine IDs?

No. Licensing is tied to your NinjaTrader account ID through the user portal. Remove any older machine-ID footprint build before importing the current portal package.

Do I need a clean workspace before I import MarketXero?

Yes. A clean workspace makes the first validation chart easier to inspect and gives support a stable fallback if your custom layout introduces noise later.

Will MarketXero set up my broker or data feed for me?

No. The docs assume the NinjaTrader environment and feed are already working before the MarketXero package is imported.

Do I really need to restart NinjaTrader after import?

Yes. Restarting after import is part of the baseline workflow and removes a large class of avoidable rendering problems, especially after removing an older build.

Should I replace existing files during import?

Select No when NinjaTrader asks to replace existing files unless MarketXero support has told you otherwise. Replacing core files can cause removal errors later.

What is the fastest way to get support unstuck?

Send your NinjaTrader version, broker/feed, portal NinjaTrader ID, chart screenshot, and the exact error text. Never send passwords. The evidence matters more than a long narrative.

Where To Go Next

If the answer is not in this FAQ, move deeper into the docs tree.

  • Use Getting Started for install and first-chart sequencing.
  • Use NinjaTrader Setup for platform-specific prep.
  • Use Troubleshooting when the platform or chart still fails after the baseline workflow.
