Troubleshooting

Common install, rendering, and runtime issues during MarketXero onboarding on NinjaTrader 8.

The support path in the IA is meant to reduce dead-end tickets. This page focuses on the issues most likely to appear during import, first render, and baseline chart validation.

Import Failures

If the package does not import cleanly, do not keep retrying without collecting evidence first.

  • Confirm the downloaded package is the current MarketXero build.
  • Re-download the file if the browser or email client may have altered it.
  • Close NinjaTrader completely before the second attempt.
  • Capture the full error text and the step where it occurred.
  • If the import still fails, send the package version, NinjaTrader version, and screenshot evidence to support.

Blank Or Broken Chart

A blank or visibly incorrect chart usually points to platform state or chart context, not a random indicator failure.

  • Confirm the chart is on the intended instrument and interval.
  • Verify the data feed is connected and updating.
  • Remove and re-add the study on a clean chart instead of a heavily customized workspace.
  • Restart NinjaTrader if the indicator list is present but the chart render is stale.
  • Save a new baseline template after the chart returns to the expected state.

Fastest reset

The quickest clean-room test is a blank chart, one instrument, one MarketXero study, and no inherited template noise.

What To Send Support

Support should never have to guess what environment the user is running.

  • NinjaTrader version.
  • Broker and feed in use.
  • Instrument and timeframe affected.
  • Screenshot of the chart with the issue visible.
  • Screenshot or pasted text of the exact import or runtime error.
  • Whether the issue reproduces on a clean chart.
